Photography should be referred to as man’s best friend, no offense to dogs of course!

I think you already know what photography is, or you have an idea of what it is, else you would not be reading this, I will just describe it in a way which I know you will like, so much so.

Ken Rockwell, hit the nail on the head, when he said that for all the years that he has been doing photography, it all just boils down to one word: VISION.

He went on to say that photography has never been about the gear, even though is important too, it has always been about seeing something, the ability to envision thee final result.

Elliot Erwit said things a little differently, but was in total agreement with Rockwell.

He said that photography is an art of observation, it’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place.

It has little to do with what you see, and everything to do with how you see them.

Rockwell and Erwit firmly agreed on one thing as they both seemed to think that photography is all in the vision.

Photography has really evolved, not only in terms of gears/technology, or techniques used, but with also the mediums through which everyone can access photographic art.

But without your own vision is difficult to navigate in this wonderful world, your own vision is the compass, is like your dog when you go looking for truffles.
