Starting off the list, this popular eatery found near the heart of Albany provides many tasty dishes using farm fresh ingredients. Located in Latham, they have an assortment of soups and flatbreads made fresh for you for lunch, or you can try one of the many burgers or entrees they have to offer. Multiple conference rooms and communal spaces are available for business events for or anyone that would like to have farm-to-table style cuisine for their special day.

Located on the west side of Albany in Slingerlands, Roux’s entire menu is made from quality local ingredients. Their culinary team meets with local farmers once per week to hand-pick the ingredients for their delicious entrees. They have a long list of options for brunch, including eggs benedict or an omelet, or you can have a fresh-made burger or chicken sandwich for dinner. To continue their support of local establishments, they offer many beers from New York State Breweries and other local microbreweries. They have weekly specials which include burgers on Tuesdays, tacos on Thursdays, and live music on Fridays.

With ingredients from local farmers, you can eat choose from many different rice bowls or stew dishes. You can also drink some of their featured hot teas, or enjoy a scoop of mochi ice cream. Their bar menu lists many different Korean wines as well as many beers from New York State breweries. Catering is also an option for anyone interested in enjoying Korean cuisine for their next big event.

Since first opening in 2009, this bistro located in downtown Albany has provided its customers with delicious entrees featuring locally sourced food. Their website lists the sources of their local ingredients and they have a long history of finding opportunities to work with small local businesses. They have many options for brunch and dinner, and they even have a special menu for Spring. They make almost any food you can think of, whether it be seafood, rice bowls, burgers, or pizza and wings. They also have a large selection of drinks from local breweries and wineries, and they offer homemade ice cream. Stop by for happy hour between 4-6 on any day between Monday and Thursday enjoy specials on wine, beer, wings, or tacos.

This award-winning restaurant located right in downtown Albany has perfected the art of American cuisine with a hint of Indonesian flare. Their use of local, Hudson Valley-sourced ingredients has not only made them popular to the Albany area, but they are also listed as a top 100 restaurant in the country by OpenTable. Their addition of Indonesian spices to classic American dishes has proven to be very successful, and their small, intimate dining area (that seats only fifteen!) has become quite popular as well.

Their salads and sandwiches made with locally sourced ingredients are extremely popular in the Albany area. They are known for their unique, customizable burger that’s available to order, and you can enjoy a beer from a local brewery to go along with it. They also offer fresh, local farmhouse and artisan cheeses such as Adirondack Cheddar and Berkshire Blue Cheese.

Their menu changes every week in coordination with whatever the Lansing family is growing. With an assortment of dishes containing vegetables from the surrounding fields, Field Notes has become a well-loved restaurant due to the knowledge that their food is grown and made right where it’s served. We recommend that you try any of their mouth-watering entrees or indulge in their freshly made donuts and ice cream for dessert.

Capital City Gastropub has the best farm-to-table burgers, pizzas, and entrees that keep people coming back for more. Using the best ingredients that local Albany farms have to offer, this bistro makes healthy food with fresh produce, meats, and dairy, all at an affordable price. One of the most highly recommended burgers is the Kilcoyne Farms Burger which has fresh bread, butter pickles, and garlic aioli. There is also a great selection of drafts from breweries in New York State that pair perfectly with their famous burgers.
