Pi Mobile App: Setup, Mine, and Invite
In this article of Pi Network Series, we will illustrate how to download, install, and setup Pi Mobile App, efficiently mine Pi cryptocurrency, as well as invite your friends and family to form your trustworthy earning team and security circle to boost your fixed mining hourly rate, in straightforward and easy simple steps.
First of all, you can download and install Pi Mobile App on your smartphone (Android or iOS) by just clicking on the featured image above. This will redirect you to the download section on Pi Network homepage, or simply click here.
N.B. You are welcome to use our invitation code, which is albayaty, after installing Pi Mobile App.
Setup Phase
After successful installation, the first screen of Pi Mobile App lets you choose your phone number or your Facebook account as a method of identity verification that will be used later during the KYC (Know-Your-Customer) processes. In general, we prefer to choose the ‘‘Continue with phone number’’ option since the phone numbers are more reachable, consistent, and officially registered than Facebook accounts!
Continue with the phone number registration by selecting your country from the drop-down menu and entering your phone number, then press “Go” and verify your number. Note that, the members of unverified phone numbers will not be able to claim their mined (earned) Pi cryptocurrency after a certain period of time!
After successful verification, you can set up your login password, and try to make it complex and rememberable.
Then, set up your account information by entering your first name, last name, and login username. Note that, your username can be used as an invitation code for referring your trusted members (friends and family) as well. Try to make it nice, identifiable, and sharable!
In order to proceed, all you need is an invitation code from an existing trusted member of Pi’s community, i.e. the inviter. And, you are welcome to use our invitation code, which is albayaty, then click “SUBMIT”.
Mine Phase
After finishing the setup phase successfully, now Pi Mobile App is ready for mining Pi cryptocurrency. Click on the “GET STARTED” button to proceed. Note that, now you earn a (1 π) as a bonus for your participation in Pi’s community.
The lightening-shape button is all you need, for the current moment, to mine Pi cryptocurrency. So, you have to tap this button daily to confirm that you are a human and not a machine (bot). Daily confirmation considered as active mining session.
Then, click the “START TOUR” button to explore Pi Mobile App’s options and sections.
Now, you are ready to mine Pi cryptocurrency daily at a fixed hourly rate, check the next section in order how to increase this mining rate.
Invite Phase
Pi Network and Pi Mobile App offer three roles for trusted members, which are:
- The 1st role (Pioneer): means an individual trusted member of Pi’s community, who installs and sets up Pi Mobile App using an invitation code, like yours now.
- The 2nd role (Ambassador): a Pioneer who invites other trusted members to Pi’s community to form an earning team using her/his invitation code. And, you can earn up to 25% bonus, as an extra earning rate added to your current mining hourly rate, for each member you invite. Note that, you are here termed as an inviter, while your invited members termed as invitees. Your invitees should be active miners (daily tapping) in order to receive your bonus rate.
- The 3rd role (Contributor): an Ambassador who builds a security circle of 3–5 trusted invitees, active members, to earn more Pi. Note that, the Contributor role becomes active (unlocked) after finishing the first three active mining sessions, i.e. three days. After that, there will be a new icon (shield-shaped button) for your security circle appears on Pi Mobile App’s home screen, just click to start and add invitees.
So, with Ambassador and Contributor roles, you are able to boost your fixed mining hourly rate to more rates in order to mine more Pi daily.

Notes
- There is no need to leave Pi Mobile App open to mine since it works in the background. Moreover, Pi Mobile App does not affect smartphone’s performance, drain battery, charge extra financial cost, or excessively use network data and bandwidth.
- You cannot mine Pi from more than one account, since Pi Network has a strict rule of one account (smartphone) per a person (miner). Accordingly, Pi Network uses Google’s reCAPTCHA v3 API, Pi’s Consensus Algorithm for security circles that detects fake accounts, and decentralized KYC processes to know if an account is operated by a human or a bot.
- Invitees can be added into multiple security circles by multiple members when these members share the same invitees’ phone numbers or Facebook accounts, but invitees can be added into only one earning team by only one inviter.
- Earlier members of Pi’s community mine at a higher rate than those join Pi Network later, in order to reflect the importance of early contributions within Pi’s community. So that, the mining hourly rate decreases as more members join Pi Network.
