2. What is Pi Lite Mode? It’s a low-bandwidth, lighter, version of Pi Mobile App, which permits pioneers to start/continue mining during different circumstances and demands. In short, Pi Lite Mode allows the participants of Pi Network to, always, have the basic functions, like signing-up, signing-in, sharing invitation codes, activating the ended mining sessions, and building security circles.

N.B. During Pi Lite Mode, Pi cryptocurrency can still be mined and earned at your normal rate, even when your balance is not updating. So, your Pi is safe and your corrected balance will be reflected when the normal mode is retrieved.

N.B. During Pi Lite Mode, do not sign-out or reinstall Pi Mobile App.

3. When is Pi Lite Mode turned on? It’s turned on during different circumstances and demands, such as:

  • when Pi Network backend is under technical maintenance,
  • when Pi Network backend is under upgrade procedures, and/or
  • when there is very high Pi Network traffic.
