While voting in the Toplist already grants $PIA to the voters when the song is accepted, today we’re introducing a Curator Leaderboard to reward the best music curators on Pianity!
A year ago, we launched the Toplist with the ambition to decentralize the curation process on Pianity, convinced that our community members are the best suited for this mission. Since then, hundreds of songs have been voted by the community and were sold on the market, maintaining only the best quality in the Toplist and allowing new artists to jump into web3.
Music curators deserve to be rewarded
Music curators are a crucial part of the music industry. They listen to music and decide which songs should be included in a playlist or available on the marketplace, they help you find your next favorite song. Furthermore, they can be the first to make contact with new artists, introducing them to new listeners and music fans.
As such, they play a key role in the industry and deserve to be paid. That’s why from the very beginning of the Toplist we introduced a reward system for the voters. For each song voted in the Toplist, a 100 $PIA are redistributed among the voters. The amount each voter receive is based on the time and the number of votes given. The sooner you vote, the more your votes will grant you $PIA.
A new leaderboard for the TOP Curators
On top of the reward for each song, we added a new category to the Leaderboards: the TOP Curator. For each song you vote for, when it’s approved, you received $PIA. At the end of each week, the TOP3 who received the most $PIA from voting get rewarded:
1st: 1600 $PIA
2nd: 800 $PIA
3rd: 400 $PIA
