As we enter 2023 and wish you all the best, we want to take a moment to look back at the amazing year that was 2022. From launching our Secondary Market to raising $6.5 million and launching our mobile app, we’ve come a long way, and nothing would have been possible without your support!

March: $6.5 million raised in Seed
In March, Pianity raised $6.5 million in seed round funding. This funding allowed us to continue building the next generation of music platforms that leverage NFTs and offer a new model for monetizing music.
Finalists for pitch award at SXSW
Also in March, Pianity participated in SXSW as finalist for the Pitch Award. At the event, Pianity worked with various artists to release music NFTs and showcase the power of NFTs in the music industry.
April: Secondary Market opening
In April, we opened the Secondary Market, which allowed collectors to resell their NFTs and make a profit out of it. This was a major milestone for Pianity, as it gave collectors true ownership of their music and the option to sell it if they chose.
May: Introducing public revenue split
We introduced the public revenue split, which provided transparency for collectors and ensured that artists received fair compensation for their work. This was a major step forward, as it ensured that artists are properly compensated for their work and that collectors know exactly how their investment was being used.
June: Arsnap developers preview
In June, Pianity released the developer preview of Arsnap, which was a new feature that integrated with the Arweave blockchain and allowed users to easily mint and manage their music NFTs. This was a significant development for Pianity, as it allowed users to easily mint and manage their NFTs in a user-friendly way.
August: Release of the third collection of A Guide to the birdsong
In August, we released the third collection of the popular A Guide to the Birdsong series in collaboration with Shika Shika. This collection featured unique and exclusive NFTs that were released to raise funds and awareness for endangered species of birds.
September: Introduction of the Playlist feature
In September, Pianity introduced the playlist feature, which allowed users to create and share their own playlists of music NFTs. This was a great way for users to curate and share their favorite music with others, and for artists to reach a wider audience.
October: Mobile app launch
In October, we launched our mobile app, which made it easier for collectors to access and manage their music NFTs on the go. This was a major milestone for Pianity, as it allowed artists and music fans to gather in Clubs: NFT-gated communities created by an artist which only collectors have access to.
Introduction of Bounty NFTs
Also in October, Pianity introduced Bounty NFTs, which were free-to-claim NFTs that artists could offer to their most engaged fans. This is a great way for artists to reward their most loyal fans and to build their community further.
November: First agreement on music NFTs signed with SACEM in November
In November, we made history by signing the first-ever agreement on music NFTs with SACEM, which set up a model for fair remuneration for music creators and publishers on sales of music NFTs.
Selection as co-organizers of MID3M+
Also in November, Pianity was selected as co-organizers of MID3M+, alongside Hopscotch and Panda Events, which is a major music industry event that brings together music professionals from around the world. This is a significant achievement for Pianity, as it demonstrates the company’s leadership in the music NFT space and its commitment to driving innovation in the music industry.
2022 was an amazing year for us, with a number of significant milestones and achievements. From the launch of the secondary market to the mobile app and the signing of the first agreement on music NFTs with SACEM, Pianity has made great strides in its mission to transform the music industry.
