Participation in the conference(CEPIC)
Hi! It’s PIBBLE.
Like we told you before, PIBBLE is currently focusing on developing a social media platform to provide an environment where users of the platform can be rewarded.
However, since the area of image itself is intertwined with SNS, copyright etc, we decided it would be wise to participate in stock photography conference, a different industry field in image market and we are currently sending this post from Berlin.
So let’s talk about what stock industry is. Industries and individuals or media pay certain amounts to commercially use contents that are copyrighted. Here, Stock industry is a business model that earns profit from the trade between creators and industries.
CEPIC, a conference that discusses and treats the global image industry which is held annually is related to this.
This year, however, was a special year for CEPIC as it was the first time ever for it to talk about blockchain and its effect on the image industry.
We, PIBBLE, participated in this conference to be better informed and connected.
To sum it up, stock image market is in a stage where they are acknowledging the existence of blockchain platform and trying to understand it by discussing about it.
The talks were mainly about mapping out the whole process, how would service and contents protection work and how blockchain will affect this industry.
PIBBLE came in touch with blockchain industries and decided to communicate towards a positive directions.
