How far do I take this ruse?
Lying on my back, prone and lifeless.
Trying to roll me with its warm, wet nose.
I saw him and immediately “played dead”, but now I wonder if I was supposed to “scream and make myself large”?
The bear gnaws at my ankle which hurts and tickles.
How’d he get in the food court?!
I see the spilled tray of Chick-fil-A samples strewn across the floor.
Those were gooooood…..
