There’s been much ado about the new Retina MacBook and its lack of holes. The new ultra-thin computer has joined the ranks of the iPod, iPad, and iPhone as a device with only two ports: one for power and data, the other for headphones. Think about that. This is the convergence between mobile devices and personal computers. It’s not a notebook that’s been distilled down to nothingness. It’s not a radically new computer. It’s an augmentation of the iPad with a built in keyboard that runs OS X.
