A song so beautiful used to portray a once loving man and wrong-doer

I heard this song for the first time when I saw one of the best Netflix original series: Narcos. The song was not as catchy at the first time but after few episodes I eventually used to it (yes, obviously).

I felt a wave of curiosity drenching to my brain. As to, why a song this beautiful is featured in a TV-series about a life of a narco-terrorist? Well, I have little knowledge of Spanish so I googled for this song’s translation. There must be someone out there had done this homework for people like me.

Now now, honestly, I found that the lyrics is just as beautiful. In my opinion, after took a closer look into details, some similarities of the song and of Pablo’s attitude towards his family exist: It’s a romanticism at its best. The song depicted Pablo’s ambitions towards his infamous work, also his affection and protection towards everyone he holds dear, including for subordinates who pledged loyalty to him. It’s a job well done to portray Pablo’s good sides with this song. So without further ado, I present to you, Tuyo:
