Flags
I try to learn the flags of the countries I visit. I’m not always successful.
The Bulgarian flag is a tricolour consisting of three equal horizontal bands of white, green, and red. The white band represents peace, freedom, and justice. The green band symbolises the country’s agricultural wealth and lush landscapes. The red band signifies the bravery and sacrifices made during the struggle for independence.
Of course, the European Union flag is blue with 12 stars signifying unity, solidarity and harmony among the peoples of Europe. I have no idea what the middle flag is.
Flowers
I received these flowers from my middle daughter, Lexi. Her office has recently moved, and beside her office is a florist. She thought I’d like a bunch of flowers for Mother’s Day (I do love flowers), so she walked into the store.
She felt embarrassed to walk out without buying anything, since she works right next door, so she asked the florist what she recommended for her mum for Mother’s Day. She bought the second-cheapest arrangement…
