Dear Diary: Today I visited the most beautiful and wondrous place I’ve ever been.

Then again, just about every place I visit seems like the most beautiful and wondrous place I’ve ever been.

Nothing wrong with staying in a constant state of awe.

The afternoon is sunny and temperatures near perfect while walking to the bus stop. Visiting London in August and then the coast of the English Channel in September ended up being ideal as far as weather goes with highs mostly in the 70s (Fahrenheit). A few days ended up being in the 80s and there were a few days in the 60s. A day or two were filled with drizzly and misty rain, but most of the time the weather was just delightfully balmy.

The bus stop is a five-or-so-minute jaunt along A286. Birdham, England is a town filled with charming residential dwellings, farms and just a handful of small businesses. As the bus rolls up and slows to a stop I see that it is single level, which is not so common in this part of England. Most tend to be the double-decker kind.
