If you’re familiar with Disney, you may have heard the organization tout its theme parks as the Happiest Place on Earth.

After a long day of walking, seeking out food, and waiting in long lines for rides at Disneyland California — my eight-year-old nephew declared that he wanted to go home and “didn’t even want to come here in the first place.”

After assembling family members for the kids’ spring break trip, spending hundreds of dollars on tickets, rental cars, and lodging — this was the last thing his parents wanted to hear.

Weeks later, as people ask, “How was Disney?!” I am thinking about Disney’s claim to happiness and my nephew’s remarks.

Allisonn has wrapped up a blooming great challenge for March and I’m hoping to continue the uplift in April.

Without intention, I have labeled multiple spots as my happy place: my local food co-op, front porch, and places I travel to over and over again.
