There’s nothing I can tell you anymore..

actually, there’s too much.

ever since we left and I
lost the ground beneath my feet,
it feels like I’m in free fall but I’m motionless,
falling in place and just waiting for it to hit me,
and you know how it comes.

But at least I spilled to you everything,
in letters, and poems,
and just under my lips when I’m alone
in the shower or the early morning drives to work..

At least you knew me like no one else will.
