SLICE has been one of the key elements of PieDAO’s rewards distribution system, and in this article, we will explain how the SLICE distribution and the SLICE compounding processes are impacted. Let’s go!

Final SLICE Distribution
📅 Scheduled for April 20th — subject to PIP-76 snapshot closing by April 18th in favor of the upgrade.
ℹ️ Eligibility criteria will set all veDOUGH holders as active to avoid slashing and enable claiming.
SLICE Compounding
As we approach the AUXO upgrade, planned Q2 2023, the termination of this service is needed as, after the migration, veDOUGH will cease to be used.
The final SLICE compounding event will be done on April 19th, 2023. Users willing to participate and convert their SLICE tokens for veDOUGH for a last time will need to send their tokens to the Treasury before that date.
⚠️ SLICE received on the Treasury after April 18th at 23:59 UTC won’t be returned
If you want to increase your veDOUGH position after this date you can redeem SLICE and trade its underlying assets on the secondary market to get more DOUGH for staking. You can still hold or transfer SLICE or its assets if you don’t.
SLICE Distribution
As per the AUXO upgrade, the rewards distribution mechanics will change. SLICE won’t be used in the AUXO DAO, as AUXO will distribute rewards in WETH. SLICE will be utilized for the last time during EPOCH#19’s rewards distribution, which will be the milestone that marks the termination of Governance Mining rewards distribution under PieDAO.
The final SLICE distribution will take place on April 20th — subject to PIP-76 snapshot closing by April 18th in favor of the upgrade.
Claiming and redeeming SLICE after the migration
veDOUGH holders will still be able to CLAIM their SLICE rewards anytime after final the distribution is complete. All addresses in the final merkle tree will be entitled to do so, regardless of whether they migrated their locks (or not) to the AUXO products.
ℹ️ After the AUXO upgrade, users can continue to use the legacy PieDAO website to claim and redeem SLICE or any other PieDAO product
