Pilcro feature release: all new Mac App with fonts
It has been a busy few weeks at Pilcro HQ.
2018 so far has been all about getting enthusiastic teams to come and use pilcro, all for free. The feedback so far has been great.
Why is Pilcro currently for free?
We are still in beta, trying to improve your experience with Pilcro as much as possible. This means we value your presence on our app more than anything else.
So come and set up your team’s “Artboard” on Pilcro. You don’t even need to create a Pilcro account, since it all works with your Google login. This means you don’t have to reveal your password to yet another platform.
What’s more, it all takes less than 2 minutes to set up.
So what’s new at Pilcro?
Today we are releasing two new features on Pilcro:
- fonts,
- an all new Mac app.
Fonts
We have had overwhelming feedback from our community, where users have shown an interest in having fonts as part of their Pilcro Artboard. So we have taken their advice and we have implemented them!
Now you can let your whole team know which fonts you would like them to use.
This is especially useful when you have a new joiner or a freelancer creating content for your company. They can immediately find out which fonts to use and link to Google fonts to download them. Coming soon, they will also be able to know when and how to use them.
The second new feature is really more than just a feature…
A completely new and updated Mac app!

The Mac app is what makes Pilcro so special because it offers you and your team instant access to your brand, wherever you are working.
You can now do so much more from your menu bar. You can
- Add logos, colour, fonts and snippets,
- Edit logos, colours, fonts and snippets,
- Share your Artboards with colleagues or freelancers,
all from inside your menu bar. We hope this will save you so much time when creating branded content, either by yourself or in a team. We also hope it will help you to keep your whole team on brand since everyone will have the same easy access to your brand assets.
What’s coming up next?
So that covers this week’s release. But what about next time?
Our next release will see the birth of our Windows app! This means that the only requirement for using Pilcro will be a Google account. We will no longer discriminate between Mac users and Windows users. Both can use Pilcro together in harmony!
How do I get my hands on the new Mac app?
If you haven’t already downloaded our Mac app, you just need to visit artboard.pilcro.com, sign in with Google and click on the button that says “Free Pilcro App” at the top of the page.
