Navigating the world of birth control in the U.S. can be difficult and confusing. It shouldn’t have to be.

“What method is right for me?”

“Why do I need to know my blood pressure?”

“What do I do if I miss a pill?”

We understand that it can be a scary thing asking for something you’re not sure how to ask for. Read on to find out how you to get a prescription so that you can get your birth control delivered to your mailbox for free — care package included. You’ve got options!

1. Sign up for The Pill Club

The Pill Club (TPC) is an online pharmacy that can write prescriptions for birth control all from the comfort of your own home. This is called telehealth! In the age of where you can access most products and services online, we strive to provide easy access to a medication that puts your future in your hands.

All you have to do is sign up for our Prescribing Service on our website and indicate that you would like the TPC Medical Team to write you a new prescription. Once you create an account, make sure to fill out your general information so we can personalize your care according to your state’s telemedicine laws. Then, you’ll answer our Health Questionnaire — this allows us to have a record of your health history so that we can continue to provide you with the healthcare that you need. It’s super important to be as accurate and honest as possible so that our Medical Team can virtually prescribe you the most suitable brand and method based on your health history & preferences.

Once your profile is complete, someone from our Patient Care Team will reach out to you via text to review your profile before sending you off to our Medical Team. Our team of doctors, nurse practitioners, and registered nurses will review your Health Questionnaire. They might ask a couple questions to clarify your health history and make sure that they can find the most suitable option for you so be sure to be honest and as accurate as possible! Since we are a licensed pharmacy, our services are HIPAA-compliant and we use industry standard security services so your information is safe with us and our Medical Team!

2. See your primary care physician

Our Medical Team won’t be able to write prescriptions for all our members but we won’t leave you in the dust! Remember, you’ve got options and we’re here to create a better birth control experience. Since telehealth is healthcare delivered completely remotely by means of telecommunications technology, our Medical Team might find it necessary to refer you out to your doctor or Primary Care Physician (PCP). Your doctor or PCP can perform any in-person assessments and provide necessary follow ups in order to physically monitor your health. If your doctor decides to write you a prescription, they can transfer it directly to our pharmacy. They can call in, fax in, or e-prescribe a new prescription to us. Our phone number is (772) 217–4557, our fax is (888) 873–6994, and we are under “The Pill Club” for e-prescribe. Your health and safety is our number one priority so we cannot emphasize how important it is to visit your doctor regardless of the reason!

3. Go to Planned Parenthood

Can’t afford the visit to your doctor? Or maybe your PCP isn’t available until 2 months from now? You have options! Publicly funded Family Planning clinics, like Planned Parenthood, can offer services to women who do not have health insurance. They have reduced costs and can offer most services for free depending on your income. And depending on the region, individuals with private insurance plans may be able to use their coverage at Planned Parenthood.

You can expect the visit to be similar to a visit to your PCP. The big difference being how you transfer it to The Pill Club pharmacy. For prescriptions with Planned Parenthood, they require that you personally request the prescription be transferred to The Pill Club. They can contact us at our phone number at 772–217–4557 or by fax at 888–873–6994.

Regardless of how you decide to obtain a prescription, we got you. You can text or call us 24/7 and our team will get back to you during our pharmacy business hours Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm Pacific Standard Time. We want to create a worry-free experience for you because birth control can be worrisome enough with the obstacles and challenges that currently accompany it. We want to change that! We are open to communicating with you so that we can create the best, personalized experience you deserve.
