This April, our stickers featured kitties fighting sexual and street harassment. From “Donut grab me” to “Stop catcalling,” we want to send the message loud and clear:

The only catcalling we’ll accept is from our kitties meowing.

Sexual assault is defined by the Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network as “sexual contact or behavior that occurs without explicit consent of the victim.” Most times, behaviors ranging from catcalling to groping can lead to sexual assault.

April is Sexual Assault Awareness month, otherwise known as SAAM.

This annual campaign is intended to raise awareness of sexual assault and serves as an opportunity to educate others on how to prevent sexual violence. April 25 is a particularly important day in the month known as ‘Denim Day’ where individuals show support for survivors of sexual assault.

This day initially started about 19 years ago in France when a rapist was exonerated after the court found out that the victim of the rape agreed to remove her denim blue jeans in the midst of the attack. The judge also claimed that the jeans were too tight, therefore the victim encouraged the rape. French lawmakers then wore denim to work as an ode to the victim of the rape and to show their solidarity against sexual assault.

The Pill Club shows solidarity this month with our sticker designs.

Sexual assault is a critical issue in this day and age. Survivors deserve acknowledgement, respect, and solidarity.

Ultimately, we want our members to be informed and well-educated in regards to all things health. You don’t have to be a victim of sexual assault yourself in order to show your support against sexual violence.

Our stickers are meant to shed light on a heavy issue and to break the stigma of talking about such instances all with a fun and easy-to-understand tone.

Simply place this sticker on your binder, your phone, or gift them to a friend! Eradicating all forms of sexual violence may seem like a daunting task but little steps like this can go a long way.
