DESVELADO Album Review

DESVELADO released April 23, 2023, was created by Mexican song artist Eslabon Armado. This album consists of 16 songs and talks about love and breakup throughout life. This is one of his biggest hit albums and one of my personal favorites with the two top songs being “Ella Baila Sola” and “Así lo Quiso Dios.”
When I began to listen to this album, I realized that it was speaking about the hurting and loss of someone, as well as how you can feel about being loved and what you may think about the person. This album continues to go on with bringing in bigger song artists such as Peso Pluma to sing “Ella Baila Sola” and “Mejor Acabar” with the artist Junior H. I personally thought that it was a very good addition to bring these big artists in to sing with him and the songs were great.
When I got more into the album, I found that it could really connect with people, which I believe is what more songs need to grab the attention of people. For example, in the song “Vamos Contra El Mundo” in the opening of the song, he sings, “Siento que solamente tú y yo Vamos contra todo el mundo (“I feel that only you and I we go against the whole world”). This part of the song was something that caught me because it’s a true struggle people have and go through together.
Something I found that I found interesting about this album is that it is a mixture of happiness and love but also heartbreak. I didn’t find these two mixtures to work out too well and would have liked more for the artist to separate the two because it could ruin the mood that you could be having throughout listening from going from happy to sad.
In conclusion, I thought this album was amazing and I currently still listen to it from time to time. Like I said previously, the only downside I found in the album was the switch of moods throughout the time I listened. The rest was absolutely great with my favorite song being “Así Lo Quiso Dios.” I would definitely recommend this to people who like to listen to regional Mexican music and corridos.
