I was so excited that I had the chance to see my favorite band in the entire world, Pierce the Veil! They had an amazing lineup of performers like Destroy Boys, Dayseeker, and L.S. Dunes playing before them! These bands are perfect because all of them are a type of pop punk while Pierce the Veil is pop punk as well. The concert took place at the Sacramento Hard Rock Casino on November 4th.

As the doors opened, you could feel the excitement radiating off of everybody. This was my first time at this venue, and this being my first time experiencing this venue, it was great! The sound was great (even though it was a little loud), and the atmosphere was clean and comfortable. All the staff were extremely kind and let me know where to go when I asked.

Starting the show was Destroy Boys. They started their set with “Drink,” which is their fifth most popular song on Spotify. After that, they played seven more songs, including “Locker Room Bully,” “Crybaby,” “Shadows (I’m Breaking Down),” “I Threw Glass at My Friend’s Eyes and Now I’m on Probation,” “Muzzle,” and “Fences.” This was a great start to the night. This was one of my first times listening to Destroy Boys, and I enjoyed their set, which prompted me to listen to them more.

After the awesome Destroy Boys set, up next was Dayseeker. This was again my first time listening to them, and I loved it. They started their set off with “Dreamstate,” “Burial Plot,” Homesick”,” “Without Me,” ”Crying While You’re Dancing,” and “Neon Grave.” Their last song, “Neon Grave,” is about the lead singer, Rory Rodriguez’s dad’s death. This was a nice and powerful set, and I loved the energy that they had. It felt like a small-town bar concert because it was a very intimate show.

Next was L.S. Dunes; their set was not quite my style of music. I like pop punk and more emo stuff but this was on the more screamo side and I only like some screamo. But they were really good. The only con about their set was that it was REALLY LOUD, which knocked points off.

Last but not least, what we’ve all been waiting for was PIERCE THE VEIL! They started their set off with “Death of an Executioner,” which is off of their newest album, The Jaws of Life. Right as I saw the shadows of the band, a tear ran down my face. I was screaming and crying because: 1. I love Pierce the Veil; and 2. Because this was the first show of the tour, nobody knew the set list for them!

After the amazing start to their show, they played “Caraphernelia,” which is by far one of my favorite songs. After a lot of singing and dancing, they played “Circles,” and that was a big change of mood to go from sort of screaming to total pop punk. Next, they played “Pass the Nirvana” and “A Match into Water.” “A Match Into Water” was very popular with the crowd, as it is a favorite of everyone. Next, they played “Emergency Contact” and “Hold On Till May.” During Hold On Till May, they brought a random fan up, and Vic (the lead singer of Pierce the Veil) sang to them and gave them his guitar!

After that 7-minute song, they played “Resilience,” and when they introduced “Resilience,” they sat down on three stools and played some acoustic versions of the songs “12 Fractures” and “Bulletproof Love” in addition to “Resilience.” After the calm break with the acoustic set, they played “Hell Above”,” So Far So Fake,” and “The Jaws of Life.”

Once they finished with those songs, they sadly exited the stage as the crowd roared their names and hoped for an encore. Lucky everyone’s excitement, the band came back out to play “Besitos” and “King For A Day.” After those amazing songs, the show sadly came to an end. I left happy with a purse full of confetti and a smile going from ear to ear! I am so happy I had the chance to see all four of these bands, and I’m hoping to be able to see them again soon. I 1000000000000000% recommend going to any of these bands’ shows, as they were all outstanding!
