Baryta Prints for Sale

Mar 4, 2020 · 3 min read
Baryta prints in A4 come in their own custom-designed packaging of a matt black paper folder within a matching — though stiffer — envelope, tied together with string. Ready to be presented as a gift in hand, and ready to be posted. Absolutely no plastic involved. Ever.

I print my photographs myself, on Hahnemühle Photo Rag Baryta paper, and offer them for sale.

A4 and A2 sizes: 100 and 200 Swiss francs.

Hahnemühle is a 436-year-old company known for its superlative quality. And Baryta paper, with its layer of barium sulphate, is considered a high art in itself. Hahnemühle Photo Rag Baryta is a pure cotton paper, with a warm shade of white because it has no optical brighteners. It is acid- and lignin-free, and conforms to the highest standard of museum quality for the most exacting requirements of age resistance. Treat it well and it will outlast you.

If you want your print framed, this is done at additional cost, which varies depending on sizes and materials used. Expect the framing of an A2-sized photo to cost you around 350 Swiss Francs: with a frame of walnut wood; UV and reflection resistant glass; and archival, museum-quality materials.

Photos can also be printed on a variety of materials and in much larger sizes, likes the one’s displayed here at an outdoor exhibition along the banks of the river Emme.
