However, Mr. Beast has said that he doesn’t care as he will always use his channel to help people and will try to inspire his audience to do the same.
On weekend, 4 November, the Youtuber posted on X (former Twitter) that “we’ve spent over eight months working on tomorrow’s video and it’s the greatest thing I’ve ever done.” After that post, he again shared that “We have built 100 wells for Africa” and encouraged people to go watch it on his YouTube page. In the video, which has had over 48 million views since Mr Beast posted it on Saturday, it shows construction of 52 wells for rural communities in Kenya and 48 other wells in Zimbabwe, Uganda, Somalia and Cameroon.

Many have hailed Mr. Beast for helping rural communities as they blamed African governments for embezzling the money they are suppose to use to fund such projects. But some Africans have condemned MrBeast saying his video always portrays Africa as a poor and backward continent. Others raised concerns over the environmental impact of the wells, saying it could contribute to reducing ground water.

Mr. Beast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, has 207 million subscribers on YouTube, making his platform the most followed account.
“I know it’s one kind of YouTuber doing all this stuff, but someone has to do it. And if no one else does it, we’ll do it. It really has changed the communities where we built them,” Mr. Beast said of his motivation for the project. How to make money from YouTube

YouTubers make an average of $0.018 per advert view, according to Influencer Market Hub. Rates range from $0.10 to $0.30 per ad view.
However, this money varies on different factors, like:

number of views
number of clicks an ad receive
Ad quality
Ad blockers
Video length

In order to make money on YouTube, the content creator needs to get at least 500 subscribers, three public uploads in the last 90 days, and either 3,000 watch hours in the past year, or 3 million YouTube shorts views in the past 90 days.

For long-form videos, YouTube pays creators 55% of the revenue gotten from the adverts that play in their videos. Setting up a YouTube channel is legit side hustle, especially if you produce engaging content that attracts large audiences. However, getting to that, you need to put in the work. Most youtubers cut it fast by allowing advertisers to run adverts on your channel through Google Adsense. According to Google, advertiser rates vary. Influencer Marketing Hub said it pays between $0.10 and $0.30 per view. So for a video wit 1,000 ad views, a YouTuber gets $18, on average.
