All the time pools of water contain the secret to life,
We just sullenly walk right over it,
Never giving heed to nature’s warnings,
We tread on shaky bridges, trying to look past reality.

The glaciers are melting, changing everything,
There is a hole in the sky letting everything out,
It didn’t take us long to neglect our responsibility,
Go lightly on the humans some say, they didn’t know.

They knew! They turned their backs, hoping for free paradise,
Now, too late, they realize they it is themselves who are in peril,
For being human is natural, nature, the same nature that melts glaciers,
Same nature that forever changes, evolving, turning, living, rotting, birthing.

Man! Ha!Ha!Ha! What a farce he has turned himself into!
Why can’t he see that he is an integral part of the fabric of the Universe?
Why must he think that a nice clean shoe and a clean screen is the answer?
Man is delusional, always wanting more, always perceiving having less.

Truth, now is rich! Rich as rich can be. Free and tall, way above the trees,
A man is rich if he wants to be, as rich as rich can be, way above the sky,
A human is part of the grand episode, a player in the grandest of plays,
We must never forget where we came from and all see where we are going.

Clusters of life on this planet and others, likely but unknown,
The great expanse unfolds, like a giant quilt across time,
We experience the true wisdom that slaps our face every day,
Air to breathe, water to drink, food to eat, a body that works.. a clear mind.
