Thanks for coming to the inaugural Pinga Picnic where we collect 5 items requested and delivered on Pinga this week, sit down and enjoy them together, virtually.

We weren’t sure how many of you would make it to our premier edition so it’s great to see so many familiar faces.

Hi Matt

Matt has never missed a picnic

And Lily, it’s lovely to see you

Always smells lovely

All of these items were requested by Pinga users on the app this week. Someone nearby was in the right place at the right time, and delivered them for a small fee #NoPingaNoPingnic

1: Hummus

What gathering/event/party/picnic would be complete without our favourite Levantine dip? Hummus, the fantastic marriage of chickpeas, sesame paste, lemon juice and garlic is extremely healthy and can be enjoyed with any number of scooping agents. Who’s going first?

Chick pee out

2: Ritz Original Crackers

Perfect with the hummus or Pingnic item #3 are some vegetarian-friendly Ritz crackers. Like the Biro and the Hoover, Ritz have become synonymous with the Cracker and we are so glad Pinga united a user with them within minutes of conceiving their craving this week, we don’t blame you.

Ritz, overnight stay not included

3: Cathedral City Cheddar

You always buy one of those big blocks and think it will last the whole week, but low and behold, come Tuesday (or Wednesleydale?) you are sending out another broadcast for more cheese, un-brie-lievable. Cathedral City is produced in Davidstow, Cornwall which has neither city status or a cathedral! Anywhey… No picnic, or Pingnic, would be complete without some cheese, perfect with our crackers and ‘grate’ with our next item too.

Whilst we are here, we might as well get a picture…

Say cheese!

4: Grapes

Pessimists would say you find grapes with poorly people in hospitals. We say you find them in wine bottles, or at picnics. Great for sharing, catching in your mouth, and with cheese. Did you know there are more than 8,000 varieties of grapes? Me neither.

Grape success

5: Rowntrees Fruit Pastille Ice Lollies

A common craving amongst the Pinga Nottingham faithful. This week and many others have seen late-night requests for your favourite ice lollies. Sometimes you just need something, and Pinga lets you connect with hundreds of users nearby to turn that desire into a reality. Remember, your requests only go to people within a kilometre so it won’t be long until that lolly is in your mouth! A lovely way to rownt off our picnic, make sure you grab all the rubbish and don’t forget Matt.

Item 5 flavours

Don’t know about you guys but I’m pretty full. Invites to Pingnic vol.2 will be in the post, and if you need anything in the meantime — press Pinga
