Warner Robins, GA

My hometown is Warner Robins, GA. The demographics consists of about 50% Caucasian, 36% African American, and the rest Asians, Native Americans, and others. Warner Robins is a rural area and since it is not city based, there is not a big fashion industry. Popular department stores and clothing lines are available, but boutiques were not accessible. In general, most people wear basic brands, such as American Eagle, Aeropostale, Belk, etc. The stores in Warner Robins targets consumers who do not have the funds to purchase luxurious fashionable articles of clothing. On the other hand, Athens has a wide variety of departments stores, boutiques, and vintage stores. Athens stores target a wider population of Athens-Clarke county residents along with college students. Most residents do not have a high disposable income. So they can shop at thrift stores. Young adult college students have a bigger interest in fashion. They are able to shop at boutiques and focus on their fashionable interests rather than using clothing as a basic necessity.
