My 3Es for 2025
Self-defined values for a better me
Every new year brings with it a new sense of hope and energy. And it’s only natural to make a list of what you wish to work on in the coming year. You may call them New Year resolutions, but resolutions are always broken so I refuse to use that word anymore.
I prefer a list of “values” that will guide my words, thoughts, and deeds in the coming year. Creating a framework of values may also eventually be more impactful and satisfying as it will not only help achieve a goal but also develop a new set of habits and patterns that aid future success.
So, without much a do, I’m going to get straight to the 3Es that I would like to focus more on in 2025.
1. Embrace Purpose
Purpose is the biggest driving force for any activity. When you know the “why”, the means to achieve a goal will automatically follow. But how does one identify purpose, especially in a numbers-driven world? How does one make their work or any other activity more meaningful?
By focusing on the long-term nature of a goal, rather than its superficial short-term reasons. If for instance weight loss is a goal. It’s not just important to follow a diet blindly but to understand your body’s deficiencies and strengths and then add or eliminate foods accordingly for…
