Pink Wall

Hello World! We are Pink Room.

A digital product studio 🏡 in Coimbra, Portugal.

This project started last summer ☀️, when me and Bruno, two software developers, left Coimbra for a week in Algarve. This trip had two main purposes. To define a roadmap for the company and to chill. After chilling a lot, we were able to set a few goals, a handfull of measurable results and a timeline for the first few months of the project. We have been working for Pink Room since then.

A few months ago we called 📞 Simão, a nineteen years old super saiyan designer, and we asked him if he would like to join us. One night, we met with him for a quick coffee and to explain what we had in mind. He has been working at Pink Room ever since and he will let you know more about it, and other awesome things we do, right here on medium, on the following posts. And maybe about our trip to Porto. College student life is hard 🌈🙉🍾.

We are now completing our first 6 months of work at Pink Room. By now we are working with a couple of different people, we are building a product of our own and we are contributing to the community.

At Pink Room we

work software. More accurately, we walk with our clients through their 💡ideas, from the concept 🎁 to the product 📱. This means that we do more than code. We like to validate concepts with future users, throughout all the processes related to the definition of the product. We believe that this not only allows us to come up with a better solution, but it also promotes the validation and the adjustment of the problem that we are aiming to solve in the first place.

We want to organize events 🎉 and contribute to the continuous growth of the community that surrounds us. Ultimately, we want to promote between us and with those around us the values for a better coexistence and to share our knowledge with the 🌍.

What’s up?

We have been working with Nourish Care since the first day. They are actually our first client and it has been a great experience working with them. More specifically, we have been helping with the development of the Nourish Carer app, where Care providers can manage their tasks, using the Nourish platform.

5 Minute Reader is our first Product. It is an Android Mobile app that recommends short literature to the users. We have started this project a few months ago and we are now testing it in order to improve a few details, before releasing it to Play Store.

Open source is one of our top priorities and something that is deeply rooted into our culture. For us to keep on evolving, it is essential that those that surround us ride with us. Therefore, one of our main goals for this medium page is to share with the community not only the things we do, but also how we do it. Stay tuned, we will keep you posted!

We are always looking for new challenges, so if you think that you might have something for us, or even if you just want to get to know us better, let’s talk about it 😃. Our office is in the Nest Collective, come and make us a visit.

Defying conventions on a daily.
