6 most important business management tips for December
December is busy. There are presents to buy, to wrap and to give. Parties to attend and parties to host. There are friends and family members to see and best of all, December is a time to celebrate! Don’t let all that busy-ness get you too distracted. There are a few simple things you can do to make January (and April) much easier!
- Put all your business receipts in ONE envelope. If you don’t have time to enter your business expenses into Pink Office just yet, grab an envelope while you are clearing your desk before company comes and just stick all those receipts in one place. Then when you are winding down one evening, grab that envelope and your phone and you can enter those expenses right into your Pink Office Mobile app. You can snap a picture of the receipt and throw it away as you go. You’ll be so happy all those receipts are entered when it’s time to do your taxes.
- Make sure all your inventory orders have been marked shipped and that all inventory orders have payments saved.
- Make sure you notify any customers with an outstanding balance. It will be best if you can enter those payments before December 31st. Mark all invoices paid.
- Run a delivered/undelivered items report to make sure you’ve delivered all the items you’ve sold. If they aren’t marked as “delivered” make sure the customer has the product then be sure to mark the invoice as “delivered” to remove the items from your inventory.
- After all your items have been delivered run and print and “on hand” report.
- With all wholesale orders marked shipped and payments saved, all invoices paid and delivered and all expenses entered, run and print a tax info report.
Some users like to also print and inventory value report, but others don’t. That is totally up to you. If you do these 6 steps you will be hassle free come tax time! That’s our Christmas present to you!
