Moving forward without our summer events.

Around a month ago, we announced Everest, Fuji and Olympus, a series of competitive summer events that would have been qualifiers for our main event in the Fall of 2021. Today, we are cancelling the remaining events (Fuji and Olympus), in order to focus our full effort on our main event.

The idea of the summer events originated after we announced the postponement of our main event, due to the ongoing pandemic. Jumpstart reached out to us to run events on their platform, and we saw this as an opportunity to kick-start our brand in the hacker community. We learned a lot from running our first online event.

However, Pinnacle is the Olympics of Hackathons, and these summer events do not represent that. We acknowledge that summer events are what hackers are looking forward to in the short-term, but we realize that in order to become truly innovative in this space, it requires our full attention and efforts, and we rather put that energy to prepare our main event.

Our Olympic torch is now lit, and in this long journey we will be preparing to bring everyone the best hackathon there can be. We are more motivated than ever, and our mission still remains: Let’s bring back the hype and the competition to hackathons.

PS: Our team is growing and we are still looking for new members. Interested in joining? Apply at hack.ms/Pinnacle-Team-Application.
