Join us and find out a bit more about Jason Grant, his career and his favourite Pinterest Creators to follow. Also, find out his answer to Lauren, from This Renegade Love’s question from our last Pinterview.

Can you tell us a bit about yourself and your blog/career?

I’m a multifaceted creative: interior stylist, author, content creator, designer, creative consultant and photographer. I like to wear many hats you could say!

I work across many formats, styling and creating content with brands big and small from the likes of West Elm, Sheridan, King Living, Ikea, Cape Byron Distillery, Bludot, Jac + Jack, Pottery Barn, William Sonoma and more and my work has been featured in magazines and blogs around the globe.

I started my blog/journal mrjasongrant.com back in December 2009. I was working at Real living Magazine as the Style Director and blogging was suddenly on my radar. Over the years we have fine-tuned my .com and recently gave it a fresh new look.

What moment are you most proud of?

To be the author of 3 interior books is pretty much up there, the release of my very first book in 2013 is definitely a standout moment. “A placed called home” was a magical moment when my forward-thinking publisher allowed me to create the exact book I wanted to make. It was a defining moment to share my signature relaxed Australian style with the world. The book was featured everywhere from Australia, Europe The USA, France and Mexico to name a few, one publication referring to me as the Wizard from Oz!

Do you have any tips for other creators?

Be yourself and avoid comparisons, I have learnt to trust my instincts and to believe in myself and to try to leave ego at the door. Be nice to everyone as life is all about relationships and connection.

Where do you find your inspiration?

I find inspiration in nature always, it’s my one constant: the bush, the beach, the ocean are always sources of inspiration for my work, colour palettes. My collections and collaborations, I like to take notice of the details that can easily be missed.

When did you start to see success on your Pinterest profile?

I’ve been Pinning for ages but earlier this year when my pal from the states Victoria who has one of the best blogs SFgirlbybay featured a profile of me on her blog. She really kick-started a renewed vigour for me and those that follow me on Pinterest (the power of the internet and an OG blogger)

What impact does Pinterest have on your business?

My work and business are visual, I create and tell visual stories daily, I create beautiful spaces in the real world (homes, cafe restaurants and stores) and also create and capture creative moments — Pinterest is the perfect platform the share my style and inspiration.

What’s the one thing about Pinterest that you think all Creators should know?

To use all the features to maximise the platform.

What’s your top tip for success on Pinterest?

Consistency, focus and a unique point of view.
