Tell us a bit about yourself and your career?

My name is Victoria Magrath (aka Inthefrow) and I am a Fashion Blogger, Brand Ambassador and Author with a doctorate in Fashion Marketing. I launched Inthefrow to house all the things I love the most and share them with my lovely community of followers; fashion, beauty, lifestyle, travel and a lot more.

How did you get started?

I started my blog back in 2012 during the completion of my Fashion PhD and working at The University of Manchester as a lecturer in Fashion Marketing. As the blog picked up a steady following I found myself no longer able to continue at the university and took a huge leap of faith and went full time. I haven’t looked back since.

Why did you start?

I started my blog as a space to store all my favourite things. I never intended to make a career out of it, but I am so pleased that is has turned out this way as it has enabled me to do things I would have never thought possible.

What moment are you most proud of?

In 2018 I launched my book; The New Fashion Rules. It was the perfect marriage of my two selves; the blogger and the lecturer. I have always been a huge advocate for education, whatever field you may be interested in and the book gave me a chance to delve further into the fashion industry and encourage others to do the same. The book became a fashion best seller, reaching as high as #8 in the Amazon Charts.

What are you currently Saving?

I Pin anything that inspires me! Currently, it’s a lot of styling inspiration and interiors. I have recently brought my first house with my husband and I have had an incredible time finding inspiration for different fabrics, colours and textures on Pinterest for my home.

Where do you get your inspiration?

Anywhere! Sometimes it is just a feeling, other times it is seeing a colour clash in the busy streets of London that inspires my next look or next interior!

What impact does Pinterest have on your business?

For me, Pinterest is an incredible source of inspiration when I am feeling low on ideas or in a creative rut! It sparks a fire in me that makes me want to create again!

What’s the one thing about Pinterest that you wish all Creators knew?

Secret Boards!! Pinterest isn’t always about letting everyone see what you love. It is also the mood board that could kickstart your next big idea.

What’s your top tip for success on Pinterest?

Be you! Play with your style and your content, keeping it fresh and exciting.

Are there any fashion or beauty trends that you’re loving right now?

Braids! I have recently returned from Fashion Week in Paris and Milan and I wore dutch braids in my hair as much as I could. It’s so cute, yet chic!

If you were stranded on a desert island, what 3 beauty products would you take with you?

Vita Liberata Beauty Blur, Alumier MD Recovery Balm and a good SPF!!
