It’s been a hard few months. The current circumstances have had a real impact on all of us — our plans, our families, friends and day-to-day lives. More than ever, this June and July we look to our creator community to create new inspiring, caring and considerate ideas for Pinners.

As we move into summer, traditionally, people would be enjoying their holidays abroad. Of course, many have had their summer plans cancelled and instead continue to spend lots of time at home to keep others safe. Help Pinners enjoy their at-home summer whether they are having a hilarious pet party, travelling the world via their kitchen or enjoying doing absolutely nothing at all.

Take Pinners outside with your ideas, even if just to the garden or for a wellness walk. Help Pinners without outdoor spaces and to bring the outdoors inside. Enjoying tasty, healthy meals and feeling nourished is top of mind for Pinners, so help them cook up some delicious food from their freezer or pantry. We’re excited to see the new content you create and share to Pinterest this summer.

Don’t forget! We’ve recently launched a new editorial space in Canada; the Today tab. The Today tab connects Pinners with the best ideas on Pinterest and this is your chance to get featured on this high profile surface in the app.

Food + recipes

  • Meals the kids will love: Pinners have now taken on the role of full-time parent, teacher and chef. Help them look after the little ones with easy recipes they’ll love.
  • Fakeaway cook-along: Move over banana bread. Pinners are looking for step by step recipe videos to follow, from pasta making to faking their fave takeaway.

Fashion + beauty

  • Spa day: Help Pinners relax at home with everything from planning what they’ll need for their at-home spa to the best products to achieve an authentic spa experience.
  • Zoom meeting outfit: Feeling like a boss, dressing like a boss (from the waist up). Think statement print shirts and comfort below the waist.

Finding balance

  • The joy of doing nothing: This time doesn’t have to be about learning new skills and being productive. Encourage Pinners to slow down and make time for themselves.
  • Walking for wellness: If we have learnt anything these last few months, it’s the importance of a good stroll. Whether through a park or cityscape, walking clears the mind.

Celebrate your loved ones

  • Father’s Day: (June 21st) Spend some quality time with dad, whether in real life or on a call. Find creative ways Pinners can get DIY gifts to dad, bringing joy to their doorstep even if they can’t come inside yet.
  • Pet party: Pets are loving this extra time with their humans and continuing to bring us joy. Give back and celebrate them with DIY ideas and pet playgrounds. Dog-safe cake recipes +167% YoY

Canada Day!

  • Canada Day 2020: (July 1st) Get Pinners in the patriotic mood with ways they can celebrate Canada Day from the comfort of their homes. Think red and white recipes, drinks and decor — board example

Internationally inspired

  • International cuisine: Give Pinners combos to help them bring the holiday vibes to their home. Dish up tacos and horchata or seafood paella and sangria.
  • Armchair travel: Daydreaming about the days we can pack our suitcases and fly again. Show Pinners the wonders of this beautiful planet for someday travel.

Food + recipes

  • Nourishing nosh: Inspire Pinners with food that nourishes them and their household. Think one-pot dinner ideas that are full of veggies, summer fruit smoothies and sugar-free snacks.

Garden getaway

  • Garden glow-up: Help Pinners envision their dream garden space. Think built-in barbecues and decking ideas to fire pits, stock tank pools and gardening tips.
