Step up your Pinterest projects with new board planning tools

People come to Pinterest to find inspiration to create a life they love. We’re excited to announce a new set of tools that will help you both as a Pinner and a Creator take action on the ideas you find on Pinterest.

Boards are a great place to collaborate with other Creators or Pinners and showcase your content. These features enable more of a personal planning experience which could help you in your next project.

Add a date

Including a date on your board helps you plan for a future milestone or project like a major life event, blog post or photoshoot. You’ll get reminders to archive your board once the date passes so your home feed recommendations will stay relevant.

Create a note

You can now add notes to your boards to help with planning. Add a note to yourself or a to-do list to create an action plan. You can even add Pins to your note so you have a visual reminder of the ideas you’re acting on.

Organise your board

Consider the new and improved boards your personal assistant. We’ll use our technology to suggest sections to organise your boards. New suggested sections help you group the Pins on your board into personalised and relevant categories.

For example, maybe you have a board for an upcoming styling blog post. It would be easier to visualise your ideas if the different components of the shoot were organised into different sections. The suggested sections could be ‘Makeup looks’, ‘Hairstyles’, ‘Location’ and ‘Outfits’.

Guided board creation

In addition to automatic grouping, now, when you create a board from a Pin, we’ll give you recommended sections and top ideas to help jumpstart your project.

For example, if you were planning a series of Vegan recipes for your blog, we’ll give you suggested sections and ideas for desserts, snacks, salads, burgers etc.
