(Tailored to Work in any niche.)

Growing an organic social media following is a great perk, in fact, it’s the best way to monetize your skills, passions while building your dream life.

Isn’t it?

We all have heard the buzz about paid ads and fancy marketing campaigns.

But what if I told you there’s a platform where you can start your online journey without burning a hole in your pocket?

It’s Pinterest.

I’m really obsessed with Pinterest (it may be a repercussion of being a Pinterest creator too😊)

Jokes apart, but believe me it’s the best platform for anyone who wants to start their online journey.

I’ve compiled a lot of resources that’ll help you become an ace Pinterest creator on my profile.

You can check them here:

In today’s article, I’m going to share the 5 Hacks that I personally use to create my pins.

And the results they yield is pretty amazing!

Without further ado, let’s know what these HACKS truly are.

For the sake of clarity, I’ve designed this single pin which states all the 5 hacks/principles for creating an SEO optimized pin.

Carefully look at it and then move ahead to know in detail what these principles/hacks truly mean.

1. Urgency Prompter

The Urgency Prompter is all about creating a sense of immediate action.

Deep within our brains, there’s a concept called the scarcity principle.

According to this principle:

When something seems limited or in short supply or even creates a sense of FOMO (Fear of Missing Out), our brain perceives it as more valuable.

The Urgency Prompter plays on this.

When your pin suggests any kind of urgency or stimulates the FOMO it sends a signal to the users’ brain stating — “This is important; pay attention!”

And as a result of this, they’re more likely to click on your pins.

Once they click on your pins, there are more chances that they will visit your website or even check your e-commerce store or a landing page.

The thing is we need to capture their attention and an urgency prompter is a great way to do that!

2. Hero Word

Every pin tells a story, and at the heart of that narrative stands the Hero Word.

Think of Hero Word as a term that serves as a clear statement of what makes your pin special.

It basically communicates the essence of your content.

It could be a captivating adjective, a compelling action verb, or a descriptive term.

For example, in my pin, there’s a hero word — Canva.

Canva stands out as the Hero Word because it isn’t generic; it’s a brand and a well-known one too!

By adding this keyword in my pin title, I’m not only attracting the professional designers but even the newbies who’ve just started using Canva.

Though this hero word changes with every pin, the principle remains the same.

Example: If you’re someone in the cooking niche and creating a pin that showcases a delicious recipe, then your Hero Word might be ‘mouthwatering.’

3. Visual Ally

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and on Pinterest, visuals are actually your secret weapon.

As you know, it’s a visual search engine.

So, you need to hook the reader both visually and textually.

To grab the attention of your audience, make sure that your visuals should align seamlessly with your content, conveying the message even before the text is read.

You can use different sites to find perfect pictures that resonate with your pins.

Another example showcasing a visual ally is given hereunder:

If you notice, you’ll find that in my pin, I’ve used a single color for the text overlays and a different color for Call to action.

The reason behind this is I want the reader to first go through the essence of my pin and then give them an indirect suggestion to check my blog.

You can also use two colors, if you wish, but don’t try to overcomplicate it.

4. Call to Action

CTA (Call to Action) is a must!

It tells your audience what action to take next.

As you can see in the previous pin, I’ve also added a call to action, just to engage my viewers.

Instead of leaving your audience hanging, a CTA directs them on what to do next.

You can use different CTAs on your pins, such as “Explore Now,” “Save for Later,” or “Shop the Look,” (Depending on your niche)

One more example, just for you!

So, when you’re pinning, don’t forget to include a CTA that gently guides your audience from inspiration to action.

5. Branding

Last but certainly not the least, we have the Branding hack.

Your pin is a representative of your brand.

To make people aware about your brand, you’ve to consistently make sure that you add your logo or profile name with your pins.

When they see your brand name on a regular basis, they’re more likely to relate to this.

And this way they’ll connect with your content and your brand!

I think it’s the cheapest way to market yourself.

What do you think?😊

That’s it peeps!

Try these hacks and watch your pins going high!

See you in the next value-packed article.
