Are you looking for the perfect keywords or trends to rank high on Pinterest, but wondering how to do that?

Pinterest isn’t just a pretty picture board; it’s a treasure trove of inspiration and creativity and I would say it’s a gold mine for creators.
But you need to find the right keywords and trends to slay the Pinterest game.
In this blog, I’m going to reveal my own tried and tested ways of uncovering the hottest trends and keywords on Pinterest.
So, are you ready to learn those ways? Let’s begin!
1. Utilize the Guided Search Feature
This feature of Pinterest is worth trying!
When you search for something, Pinterest suggests related terms at the top of the page.
Just go to the search bar, and type your keyword, for example, you want to find related keywords for ‘Health’.
Once you type ‘Health’ in the search bar, you will notice a number of related keywords below the search bar.
Pay attention to these keywords and use them in your pin description, titles and tags to 10x your visibility.
If you’re using the Pinterest App, do the same thing, type your keyword, and you’ll see a list of related keywords. Have a look at the snippet!
If you want to find more keywords for the related searches, just click on the specific keywords, and again, you’ll see a list of more keywords.
This way you can refine your search.
2. Using the Single Click Option on Search Bar
You can also find relevant keywords for your boards by using the search bar. Just go the search bar, single-click and you’ll see ‘Recent Searches’, ‘Recommended Ideas for You’ and ‘What’s Popular on Pinterest’.
You can also use this method on the Pinterest App.
3. Using the Trends Option
Now, this is my favourite method to find trends and keywords. You need to follow the given steps to use the Trends option.
· Login to your Pinterest Business Account.
· Go to the ‘Analytics’ section.
· Click on ‘Trends’.
You’ll be redirected to a page that looks like this.
By default, you’ll see the trends of United States on this page. You can have an idea of the growing trends from this page.
You can also use the different filters like Interests, Trend Type, End Date, Age, Gender, etc.
If you scroll down, you’ll see the top trends in United States in a particular month.
Scroll more, you’ll see ‘Pinterest Predicts’. Here you will find a guide that will predict the upcoming trends on Pinterest. Click on the ‘Visit’ option.
You’ll be further redirected to the main ‘Pinterest Predicts’ window.
Search your niche and find the latest trends and keywords here.
4. Pay Attention to Related Pins and Boards
Have you ever noticed the related pins and boards that occur when you click on something?
These recommendations hold the key to discovering hidden trends and keywords.
Just take a moment to analyze these related pins and boards.
Look for common themes, keywords, and trends that align with your content.
And then incorporate the same into your strategy.
5. Monitor Popular Pinners and Influencers
Pinterest has a huge community of contributors with a wide variety of niche and most of them follow the trends and keyword strategy to be on the top.
So, why not learn from the best?
Take out some time and find the topmost followed accounts, keep an eye on their content strategy, the way they post their pins, are they focusing on something specific, etc.
Generally, if an event is about to occur in the coming months, the content creators start posting their pins around 2 months prior to the event.
I myself follow the same strategy.
The reason behind this is that it gives you an extra edge over the other creators and also you can rank on the Pinterest feed organically.
So, observe the moves of the influential accounts, gain valuable insights into emerging trends, viral content, and keywords that have the potential to skyrocket your reach and incorporate that.
