pitter
patter.

Stars, fallen from where they once stood stationary
Lash down, bouncing before enveloping the land in the void.

The ground reflects above — seemingly empty but teeming with life.

A temporary bridge exists between space, and right here.

Perpendicular, it forever falls,
Until the clouds give way,
Stars retreating to their former positions
Soil growing dry
Void melting into the blue and green landscape of your eyes.
