Pirate Kings — The Roadmap
Part 1: “Assemble the Crew!”
In case you’ve missed it, Skinner has been representing Pirate Kings via Twitter spaces. We’ve met phenomenal hosts, judges, and industry leaders who‘ve expressed their support for what Pirate Kings is building. Industry leading projects such as MonkeDAO, Sea Shanties, SovanaDAO, Metavillage, and many more have given their communities the opportunity to come aboard our ship.
Due to this exposure, we’ve seen our Discord numbers increase dramatically over the past several days. We’ve got a lot of exciting things on the horizon! Pirate Kings has such a large scope beyond “just art” that we often get asked the question “What exactly is Pirate Kings?” So in this spirit, I’ve decided to do a deep dive of our roadmap one section at time and explain each stage with greater specificity. I’m confident that by the time we get through all of it, you’ll know more about Pirate Kings than you ever did before. So without further adieu, let’s dive in starting with our three community ships.
Community Ships in the Metaverse— Immersive, Interactive and Staking!
PART 1 — Assemble the Crew!
The team at Pirate Kings is building three immersive and interactive pirate ships: Broken Soul, Blind Serpent and Dead Man’s Raft. Upon completion, each holder of a Pirate Kings NFT will have exclusive access to one of these three galleons.
It’s important to note that we intend to build these ships in their entirety over time. In the interim, we will be offering our utilities as a portion of our website. For example, while we plan to have a distinct room aboard the 3D ships for staking, we will initially have a tab on our website dedicated for staking while the ships are built. Our ships will eventually become the social hub and provide various forms of opportunities. In the meantime, these will be hosted via chat within our 3 discord channels: Broken Soul, Blind Serpent and Dead Man’s Raft. Airdrops, giveaways, and delivery of the lore can still be delivered the traditional route to holders until the ships are ready to host these activities.
Immersive: each of our three community ships will have it’s own fully rendered 3D environment that Pirate Kings NFT holders will be able to explore via a portal on our website. As with all elements of our roadmap, we aim to bring a level of quality, entertainment and utility not yet seen in other projects. Each ship will incorporate original music, professional voice actors and sound effects to help bring the Pirate Kings experience to life.
Interactive: Access to these ships will be exclusive to NFT holders who will be able to navigate their way throughout the environment as well as interact with various objects in the ship (books, chests, drawers, maps… etc.). These interactive objects will be part of the reward experience as well as our lore delivery mechanism, and will include various opportunities to earn art, tokens, airdrops, partnership benefits, etc.
Staking: NFT holders will be given the opportunity to stake Pirate Kings aboard their respective ship in order to earn our $PKG token. Staking 3 Pirate Kings will also grant holders unlimited access to all three pirate ships as well as to their community discord channels and exclusive perks.
Each ship will be dressed differently and include its own lore: there will be a partial upper deck, a partial lower deck and a Captain’s quarters to start. Only NFTs with the Captain’s hat trait will be able to enter this room. What’s in Captain’s quarters, you ask? We’re not telling you. In the words of the Dread Pirate Roberts, “Get used to disappointment.”
