Happy New Year Pirates! ARRR just celebrated its 7th Halvening. This year, the community is embarking on multiple projects currently. Several organizations in our community are working gladly and courageously on the marketing campaign, and the Verus ecosystem integration with ARRR specifics. vARRR Testnet is live and we’re thrilled for the opportunities this opens to pirate Chain. We’re seeking pirates in the community to run additional vARRR nodes and take part in the testing. Additionally, we want everyone in the community to take part in vARRR in order to learn and run nodes, particularly if you can do so on a server, virtual private server, or static IP with port 27771 open.

7th Halvening

The Pirate Chain halving for $ARRR happened on December 31, 2023 12:47:59 PM, block #2,722,195. Block: https://explorer.pirate.black/block/0000000014b0f6b72226ccb57363d1323de8c23f2393f9cfd12e18d858f01a55

This means that the miners reward for each block dropped from 4 ARRR to 2 ARRR. This reward as you may know is necessarily reduced on a regular interval so that the total number of coins produced over time meets the fixed supply.
