Pirate Chain Newsletter February 2023 Recap
Ahoy Pirates! February was mostly spent working on the new wallet for the Android skull island bug security fix, which is now ready for you to update (Don’t forget to secure your seed phrase). Development on the Treasure Chest wallet is in the works so you will receive mandatory and optional update notifications; wARRR is gaining traction and picking up steam in both the Ethereum and Binance networks, and the team is focusing on looking for projects with cool features or services for possible partnerships. We were thrilled to see cool pirates visit the port of Acapulco, Mexico, collaborate with Edge wallet pals in exclusive community activities, and attend the Anarchapulco event with a ton of outstanding outcomes and experiences.
wARRR Bridge Update:
The wARRR bridge is currently paused in relation to a security incident reported here: https://polarity.exchange/blog/2023/03/security-incident-conclusive-statement/
wARRR and ARRR funds are not affected. At this time the ETA for when the bridge service will be restored has not yet been determined. More information will be provided in the Pirate Chain Discord as it becomes available.

Pirates at Anarchapulco 2023
A band of merry pirates was spotted working the Pirate Chain booth at the Anarchapulco conference on February 6–10, 2023 in Acapulco, Mexico. Anarchapulco is an annual anarcho-capitalist/voluntaryist conference, and this year’s theme for the conference’s ninth year was — RESIST.
Conference attendees stopped by the booth to chat with us Pirates and received marrrketing items such as Pirate Chain t-shirts, hats, and keychains. We also gave hats and t-shirts to the kids at the Marsh Children’s Home in Acapulco, Mexico. Thank you to CAPTAIN | @Legend_LooTz for making it happen!!! We also auctioned off a pirate package of some rum and Pirate Chain swag to benefit the children’s home.
Crypto day at Anarchapulco was on Wednesday, and many attendees were spotted wearing their Pirate Chain gear for Cryptopulco.
Pirate Matt Welsh from BLUVNBU gave a talk on a crypto day titled, Thrive With Crypto in the Aquarian Age. Pirates sounded from the audience as Matt Welsh highlighted Pirate Chain as the best lunarpunk privacy coin to thrive in the Aquarian age.
On Friday, Patrick Smith from Anarchast interviewed Rafael LaVerde from The Crypto Vigilante, and the recording of the video is called, BTC is Now an Art Gallery?! There was a crypto workshop on Friday evening that many of the Pirates attended on the topic of hyperbitcoinization and AI. A free replay of the workshop is available at: cryptovigilante.io/ai.
On Saturday, a few of us Pirates attended a sunset cruise on Acapulco Bay hosted by the Free Republic of Liberland, where the country’s motto is: To live and let live.
