10/30 Exploring Pittsburgh

Notes of an outsider.

We decided to explore some parts of Pittsburgh to understand some of the insights we had from our interviews. Being an outsider I felt this exercise helped me to discover Pittsburgh’s real character and the “dreaded change” in the city. We chose to walk from Bakery square till the Children’s Hospital. We found that Pittsburgh was a blank canvas for people to paint their opinions, their story which made up the character and color of the city. We could see a lot of contrast in the infrastructure designed for the rich and the poor. This walk was inspiring and took us closer to the problems faced by the city which were harder to imagine from doing the interviews.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
