India’s Ban on Chinese Products:

Initially, on June 29th, the first list of 59 Chinese apps was banned as they were indirectly involved in activities prejudicial to India’s sovereignty and integrity.

On July 27th, the second ban included 49 other apps that were violating and considered as clones of the previously banned Chinese apps.

More and more apps will face the ban in the mere future.

One of the noticeable apps in the banned list is the Helo app, as the app had a huge active user base.

Helo App:

Helo is a social media platform with 50,000,000+ users in India. Helo facilitates users to share videos, WhatsApp status, jokes, and more with their friends and family. It enables users to chat with their circle in multiple local languages.

Since its launch, the Helo app has gained a slow and steady user-base in India until its ban. Indians have become habituated in using the app and made it their routine of sharing stuffs with their circle.

The app’s ban has undoubtedly created a considerable impact on app users or addicts, triggering then in haunting for the app’s replacements.

Helo app’s Indian Replacements:

Pixalive, Roposo, and Sharechat are the current app replacer of the Chinese Helo app.

Roposo

Roposo, by IIT Delhi alumni, initially started as a fashion-based social network, but has later turned like ShareChat and Clip, an app that enables users to create and share videos in many Indian languages. Roposo now turns to have 1 lakh videos posted on its app every day, and has over 5 million downloads.

ShareChat

ShareChat, by IIT Kanpur alumni, and has raised $23 million from investors: Xiaomi and SAIF Partners. ShareChat is a social network for the Indian users who’d preferably communicate in their regional language and is currently in 14 languages. It permits users to share videos and photos for their followers to view. ShareChat currently has 4 million daily active users, willing to share everything that happens throughout the day.

But there exist claims that the Roposo app is not up to the mark, and the ShareChat app is equally not safe as Chinese apps, as it has a significant investment from Xiaomi, a Chinese company. This statement clearly shows that Snapchat has an equal chance of facing the Indian Government’s ban.

Pixalive:

Now, moving on to the social media platform offers a plentiful of features for its users. Pixalive, by Rajasekar Sundaresan, India. It has a huge collection of features that allows the users to create and share content with voice notes, status updates, read NEWS, play Games, Chat, Video Calls, Voice Calls, Channel creation, Weekly Contests and Challenges with Earn Money options, Trend Setters, etc., all in one app. Pixalive is the only Indian app available in many regional languages and has become a global social media currently active in nearly 140 countries.

Pixalive purely has no connection with China and Chinese investments, making this app the best, secure, safe, and effective Indian app replacer for the Chinese Helo app.
