Ramadan or Eid is referred to as the festival of “Breaking the Fast,” held to celebrate the end of fasting by Muslims worldwide, originated by the Islamic prophet Muhammad. This period marks a month-long Dawn to Sun Set fasting. Eid is the only day in a year Muslims are not allowed to go on a fast. They complete their rituals on Eid in a mass gathering and perform their prayer, consisting of two units. A common point of this festival is hospitality and generosity. Muslims decorate their houses, wear new clothes, prepare delicious food for their family and friends, and also offer to poor and needy, not just food; they offer gifts to each other, mainly to children.

The date in which Ramadan falls vary from country to country depending upon the geographic location. Eid stands as a significant festival for Muslims. On this occasion, Pixalive, an Indian Made Social Networking App, takes an opportunity to wish one and all celebrating Ramadan. May this holy day bring you eternal joy, happiness, peace, and prosperity. On this beautiful Mubarak day of Eid al-Fitr, may Allah give you reasons for delight and pleasure.

Eid Mubarak! May Allah gift you lots of love and wisdom. We wish you a very Happy Eid!
