Good day, dear friends, I would like to present a short update on Pixboost as we are moving rapidly to the next milestone.

A bit of a story

After we finished coding the minimum viable product and passed the testing stage, we sat back and thought for a bit. We couldn’t pick the next feature to work on as they all looked important to us. As a result we decided to soft launch our service. The most important reason to do that was to plan our future work based on the real needs of our customers. We were asking everyone we could possibly reach what they thought about Pixboost.

First and foremost, I’d like to say a big thanks to everyone for your advice, thoughts and support. We’ve been desperate for feedback and still are. This launch was a great success for us. We were seeking feedback, but also got our first customers. The feedback (positive and especially negative) helped us to plan the future of the Pixboost service.

To tell the truth, I’ve realized that feedback actually is the most valuable asset that a project can gain from its supporters and/or customers at launch time. Real people and real feedback helps us plan for the future. Thanks all for your support. We are trying to deliver a stable and as customer friendly solution as possible.

The result we were craving so badly

Based on the feedback that we have been gathering for two months after the launch we have planned our future road map. That’s amazing but it was not about bugs, or errors, or functionality issues. The bottleneck was the documentation! As a developer I didn’t expect that at all. Therefore, our next step would be the development of clear and detailed documentation for users to kick-start the integration in seconds.

Please, check out a gif-animation we’ve developed below. Isn’t it amazing how well just a short explanation can help?

It shows the basic but very powerful functionality of Pixboost. Our main goal is to make it work for customers in just seconds without lots of coding and annoying setup. We coded and set it up just for users’ convenience. Please look for the full API here.

Technical “thank you” from our team

I personally think it’s important to spread the good word if we found some great product that helped a lot of other people solve similar problems. By doing that we can support the teams of those projects and promote them, which they totally deserve. There are various applications that can record GIFs out there. We tried many of them and at the end picked one that met all our needs — GifCam. GifCam is a small Windows application that can capture a screen (or window or area) and record a video that can be saved as a GIF file. It comes with simple and powerful frame and text editing and various quality setup options. That’s pretty much it but it took us a while to find an application that met all these requirements. Big thanks to the GifCam team for their amazing application! Helped us a lot.

Stay Tuned

There are more things coming in the very near future. Don’t miss out and follow us on Medium.
