Xbox has accepted a 2-year, $50.3 million dollar deal to join together with the Playstation brand, according to several reports. With the deal, Playstation is expected to roll out an insane starting lineup consisting of Halo Infinite, Gears of War 5, The Last of Us Part 2, Spider-Man, and Death Stranding.

The announcement comes shortly after what many considered was the company’s best E3 performance in years. Despite that, it seems that the rumors their injury from years ago was still an issue has made their stock plummet enough to the point of needing a merger.

Of course, such a deal has caused quite a stir amongst fans in the gaming industry, with many declaring that they won’t even bother watching the VGA’s anymore since Playstation’s win is practically guaranteed.

“It’s just ridiculous, how boring is it that Playstation is going to add EVEN MORE superstar, AAA-caliber titles to their lineup that has already been winning, decidedly, for years?” says Xavier Menendez, who had recently decided to become a Nintendo fan around one year ago.

“I hate it. I literally made a joke about this to a friend of mine, but I never actually expected it to happen,” says Menendez.

A select few of others, however, don’t share the same sentiments of dread that many fans have. Many of the smartest and brightest analysts in gaming believe that the deal isn’t nearly as bad as people are making it out to be.

“Hey, I just love seeing high-quality games be given the best platform to shine brightest,” says clever and smart person Bill Goodman, “It might freak people out, but this is actually a great thing for gaming!”

Other noted smart and clever person, Jack Barlow, says that Xbox’s decision was a case of tactical genius. “If you’re Xbox, and you have some issues that have been plaguing your performance lately, why not just take a couple years off and get some free awards until you’re ready to come back?” says Barlow.

“It’s only a 2-year deal, and then once it’s done they can really cash-in like they originally wanted to once the next generation of consoles comes out. It’s chess, folks, not checkers,” Barlow intelligently explains to us.

No matter what side you fall on, there’s sure to be some fireworks and excitement — with also, surely, no doubt, plenty of competition — to ensue from Playstation’s indelible display of dominance throughout the coming months.
