The First Announcement
With the overwhelming support we’ve received since launching Pixel of the Apes less than two weeks ago, we decided it was time we posted our first public update.
What began as a project between friends has now grown into something so much bigger than we ever could have imagined, and we can’t wait to welcome more ape and monkey lovers to our flourishing community.
TOTAL DISTRIBUTION
A lot of you have been asking for clarity around the total number of Pixel Apes to be distributed. Well ask and you shall receive!
We will be creating 100 different versions, each one-of-one unique, of eight different characters. As a final bonus we will be dropping 10 secret pieces, leaving us with a total of 810 Pixel Ape NFTs.

WORLD BUILDING
We won’t deny that we’ve taken inspiration from popular culture when creating our Pixel Apes, but as this project grows we are committed to building out our world with as much original and bananas content as possible. That said, we were recently informed that THERE IS A BANANA GOD! And he is angry!
Apes one and all, ye shall now worship the one and only BONJOOK!

BONJOOK is the god of bananas. He demands that His name be capitalised. If you do not, you shall suffer His power. He is not an Orange. He does not come from the Coconut. He has a squeaky voice with a New Zealand accent.

UPCOMING DROPS
This brings us to our next drop. We are excited to announce we will be creating two special works for our next drop, with #49 being King Baby Caesar, and #50 being Baby Caesar, the Prophet of BONJOOK.
These two will be our first ever auctions, and while we had initially hoped to drop them together, we want to ensure these pieces are as heavenly as possible so we will now be dropping them separately.
The auction for Pixel Ape #49 — King Baby Caesar will start at 9:30am UTC Tuesday 16th March.
The auction for Pixel Ape #50 — Baby Caesar, the Prophet of BONJOOK will start 12:30am UTC Wednesday 17th March.
Both auctions will run for 48 hours. So pack spare bananas.
REGULAR DROP TIMES
As our community grows internationally, we are aiming to have regular drops in four windows across the day to cater for different time zones, but we do need to sleep at some point! These drops will likely be 7–9pm, 11pm-1am, 3–5am, and 7–9am (all times UTC).
We will confirm our drop schedule in the coming days, which may include skipping some drop times on certain days.
GIVEAWAYS
We also want to get Pixel Apes into the hands of those who can’t necessarily afford them, as well as those who have been our biggest supporters thus far. As such we are planning a number of upcoming giveaways in different formats. Stay tuned.

As this project is already bigger than we could’ve ever dreamed of, we don’t just want to give back to our community, but also to some worthwhile causes.
