Double the Raffle, Double the Fun!

We’re taking the thrill of the raffle and the excitement of minting NFT collections to a whole new level with double the raffle, double the fun, and double the opportunities to strike it big!

This message goes out to all those seekers of chance and fortune who are patiently waiting in the queue to take part in our inaugural raffle. That time is quickly approaching, but the unveiling of our launch date is not what we are talking about today. Instead, we have come bearing news that will benefit all.
In our evaluation of the current NFT and web3 gaming market climate, we have decided to make an adjustment to our launch strategy, which we believe will make the Pixel Raffle experience as attractive and successful as possible for everyone involved.
Initially, our premier RaffleMint was going to consist of 10k tickets (which, of course, convert into playable PFPs) priced at 0.1ETH each. Under this approach, there would be a single lucky winner who will receive the grand prize of 250ETH.
However, in our vigilant survey of the market we have seen many, otherwise high-quality projects with a 10k supply struggle to fully mint out their collection. This is a position we don’t want to find ourselves in.
We attribute this to the recent pullback in NFT values and the overall market sentiment. While we continue to have rock-solid convictions in a bright future for Web3, we must read the winds and adjust our tack accordingly. Those who look to launch while ignoring the weather do so at their own peril.
On a positive note, many collections with a smaller supply and/or more accessible pricing have had great success in their public sale as of late; Leaving us confident that, with this ever-so-slight tweak, so too will our mint(s).
For this reason, we have enacted the following pivot. We will now be holding TWO subsequent raffles, each consisting of 5k tickets/PFPs at a lower price of 0.08ETH. Under this plan, there will be two winners. One for each raffle. These winners will both take home a substantial 100ETH Grand Prize!
(Note that the overall prize-pool is being reduced by 20% to correspond to the 20% mint price reduction.)
As you can see, ultimately the number of playable PFPs we will be releasing has not changed. All that has is the price per mint is now much more affordable, and the number of winners has doubled.
Here are the benefits we believe will come from this change:
- The two collections will mint out faster, therefore drawing the winners in less time.
- The chances of winning are now doubled!
- The capital raised from a successful first RaffleMint can be applied to increased marketing efforts for the second. Not to mention rapidly improving the Pixel Raffle platform and beginning development on the 8-Bit Legends game ecosystem, post-haste.
- The 8-Bit Legends playable PFPs will have two distinct collections, making the rarest NFTs in each collection even more rare.
We hope you see the value in this adjustment. We most certainly do! If nothing else, we want to instill confidence in you, our early supporters, that we will achieve success at all costs. Our vision for Pixel Raffle and 8-Bit Legends is massive, appealing to Web2 and Web3 alike, spanning multiple chains, asset types, and even decades. And we want you along for the ride. If we work together and adjust to the market’s ebbs and flows, there is no way we won’t manifest that vision.
