Pixel Raffle & 8-Bit Legends — Two Sides of the Same Token

Indeed, your ticket will become your key to endless adventure and whimsical wonders that will lead only the most dedicated of players to the most exalted status of 8-Bit Legend!

Welcome back to another update from the D¢ENT Ventures team. If you’ve read our previous post you should have a fairly solid understanding of what Pixel Raffle is and how it relates to 8-Bit Legends (8BL). But this is just the beginning of the story.

Today we will explore the connection between the Pixel Raffle and 8-Bit Legends. You may think we’re crazy, but D¢ENT Ventures is ambitiously launching these two projects simultaneously. And for good reason. They are intimately entwined. The success of one is tied to the success of the other. But don’t get it twisted, they are very different animals. Let’s dig into it.

Building on More Than Luck

Put simply, Pixel Raffle is a minting platform and a promotional resource for the web3 builder community. We are working to make it the source from which many fun, innovative, successful, and even (fingers crossed) blue-chip level projects find their start. But to prove the value of raffle-incentivized collection minting (or a “raffle mint” as we call it) to the world, we have to set an example.

Cue 8-Bit Legends, the foundational case study that demonstrates the raffle mint concept. With this first launch in the books, we will be able to refine and optimize the platform so we can offer collaborations with partner projects who want to launch on our platform as well. Then, when the time is right and our system is fully dialed in we will be opening it up as a resource for the entire web3 builder community.

Imagine discovering what you think will be the most exciting new NFT-based project. That alone is an exhilarating experience. Now, add to that the prospect of capturing a portion of the mint proceeds for yourself just by minting. How much more excitement will there be when mint day comes!? Considering the average collection size is 10k NFTs, we’ll take those odds all day long! (We’ll not us, D¢ENT employees are barred from participating in raffles, because it’s the right thing to do.)

Playing to Your Nostalgia

As we have stated throughout our website marketing, when the inaugural raffle is done the tickets will transform into the first and most formidable collection of playable PFPs in the 8-Bit Legends ecosystem, and possibly beyond. In fact, many (but not all) of the in-game assets for 8BL will be manifested via Pixel Raffle.

As you will see, 8-Bit Legends is different from Pixel Raffle in that, it is a social gaming ecosystem designed to engage web3 natives and on-board web3 newcomers alike. Through the use of digital asset ownership coupled with retro gaming charm, and polished to a fine sheen with a seamless intuitive UX, 8BL will become an ever-expanding hub for interconnected games. Our vision is an experience that is as accessible and revolutionary as the advent of the home videogame console.

When the gaming masses realize they can level up, train, evolve, and transport their playable PFP over countless games and multiple decades, a whole new paradigm of gaming will be unlocked.

Think about it like this. What if, one notable Italian plumber who came on the scene circa 1985 was an ownable sprite who grew and accrued treasures across the many dozens of subsequent game releases. What kind of stories could that 38 year-old character tell? What would he and his accumulated assets be worth? It really gets your noggin joggin.

Well, we intend to find out. This experiment will commence after the launch of Pixel Raffle, in Phase 2. With the first raffle behind us, the D¢ENT devs will turn their attention to Midway Mayhem. The premier title under the 8BL banner.

We hope this begins to paint a clearer picture and maybe even captures your imagination of what’s to come. And speaking of…
