Web-builders which are too flexible, result in horrid websites

Why? Probably because the web owner wanted his website to be too unique and personalized. He had his own idea of website in his head that could have been great, but after implementation it just didn’t look (or work) as expected.

In case you’re not a professional designer and you used some flexible drag & drop web-builder, I bet your website looks terrible. It usually does when too elaborated website builder ends up in unprofessional hands of a cheap, “so called” web developer with zero sense for a neat design.

First, you choose the theme

You chose the theme because you loved how it looked. And then you changed pretty much everything in it. Colours are different, fonts are different, pictures are different and disposition of all the components is different.

It makes me wonder: Why did you choose this theme in the first place? Sorry, I forgot.

Create & forget about it approach

With a website, it’s the same as with your phone: It’s old 5 minutes after you bought it. You can’t ignore technological innovations and you can’t keep the content stale for too long.

But… It’s not your fault

My strong belief is that web owner shouldn’t be the one who designs the website, builds it and takes care of updates. He should be the one who’s taking care of site’s content and engaging with his audience.

Isn’t the technical side of having a website annoying you? Are you OK with regular updates or would you prefer the system that works “on its own”, hassle free? Leaving you in charge of the most important part — the CONTENT.

So tell me, don’t you think you deserve nicer website? The website that is pleasure to go back to and to work with? How can you make a better website? Read more on Pixenio: Your website is ugly
