Added new games tab “Recently Added”
This is a little feature that has been requested a good few times by some of our users that will now show your newest games that have been added to your library, handy if you have numerous games and have just added that brand new game you really want to play, you will no longer have to search through everything to press play.
Added new setting to choose which tab you see in library
In the settings page for the app, users can now select which tab they would prefer to see first when loading into the library page, this can be switched between Recently Added, Last Played, and Most Played.
Removed Steam log in process
It took us a while to realise, but due to the comparing utility in the library working from pl4yr accounts rather than comparing with steam friends, the need to log in with steam was pointless. This has been removed and has been changed to a toggle switch like the other platforms.
Added filters to news section
If you have a favourite news outlet for all your gaming needs and don’t want to see everything else from all the different sources, users can now select a single or multiple news outlets to show on the news feed. One extra we have also added is game specific feeds, this is something that will be built up over time as we find more working sources.
Custom games no longer lost after disabling
This was a complaint from multiple users stating that each time they had to toggle custom games on and off, they had to add them back in individually which took a lot of time for some users, and others just could not be bothered re-adding. Now when you toggle custom games off, they are removed from the library, but the app remembers which games and where just in case you toggle them back on.
Various bug fixes
This is a big general area, even with each deployment of the app fixing previous bugs, there’s only so much our current users can use and test for us. With more users joining the app and using it for different games in different ways we are narrowing down the bugs. A list of current fixes:
- Fixed an issue where selecting your media preferences could lead to a blank page.
- Fixed an issue with World Of Warcraft and Battlenet launching.
- Fixed an issue that caused the custom syncs to continually sync even when disabled.
- Fixed an issue where comparing friends would show full library instead of no games.
- Fixed a custom issue where exe’s would not play correctly.
- Fixed a library bug where the close button overlayed everything.
- Fixed the what’s new link in the bottom left of the app.
