Added troubleshooting to Sync Library
One issue that we were facing with the app, was users all having similar issues and all having similar solutions. We had spoke about introducing an FAQ section prior to this but had never worked on it, now there is a nice little section that can be updated over time if more users encounter the same issues.
Added text to Sync Library to help newer users
For newer users, the sync library could seem a little daunting and confusing, what does turning each platform on and off do? How does it do it? What’s going on? So now, we have a little paragraph explaining what happens when syncing their libraries.
App will check hourly for update and notify users
Instead of users asking us if there are any updates released, the app will now show them that there is an update available in the top right of the window. If a user go to the “Check for updates” section they will also be able to see if there is an update available or if they are running the current version.
Alpha notice has moved to bottom left
We decided to update our disclaimer to actually give users a little bit more info on the alpha stage of the app. Rather than a blunt straight to the point 2 sentence block, we now give a little bit more friendly support with more information on the alpha stage.
Sync will not update if nothing has changed in the library
Its time to save the servers. If a user has not added or removed anything from their library, if they try to run a sync or the app is due to run one then the app will not update anything after checking through everything.
